Be Patient with Ourselves

As you teach your children to say “thank you” and “please” or to use nice words when talking to others, remember that it is a process. It doesn't happen overnight or with one or two lessons, it takes consistency. You also need to know that it can't be ruined in one day. (Of course, you can get so wrapped up in life that you drop a great habit you worked hard for your child to develop, but, be patient with yourself also. Sometimes it's just too hard to remember to do everything!) Rome wasn't built in a day neither will it be torn down in a day. It will save you time and effort and frustration if you can be as consistent as possible. But, take heart, God knows we are made of dust and can only succeed at life with His help. Keep your eyes above the waves today and praise Him in the storm or the calm - He is in control of both.

Much love to each of you!
