Raising Daughters Of The King

Princesses that bring Honor to their Royal Father

Giving practical tips and encouragement to mommies of girls

Devotions1

Good morning, Mothers! I hope that you have rested well, but more than likely you were listening for whimpers or cries that would indicate that once again your presence was needed — or, you were too worn out from the day before to hear ANYTHING. Blessings on you! It is not an easy task to raise a child — especially when you are exhausted and “give out”. And, I mean, “give out”. You have given of yourself 24–7 since that precious child came into your life.

I want to remind you briefly that when Moses’ mother was called back by Pharaoh’s daughter to take Moses home and raise him for her, she said to the mom: And I will give you your wages. (Exodus 2:9)

As you raise your child for the King of the Universe, remember that not only do you get to do that which delights your heart (love on your child), but you also get paid for it. The exciting thing is when the King pays wages, He gives things that are finer than gold and silver — He adds to you character traits like wisdom, patience, godliness, kindness, goodness, etc.

So, if you feel like you’ve “put your life on hold”, or like you haven’t even had time to shower or take care of yourself this day [hopefully, the next day, you will be able to take care of yourself — remember that you are priceless in His eyes as well!], know that He will “pay” you for raising His precious child. And if you feel, perhaps, at times that your contributions are small and insignificant in our world today, remember that you are busy Raising a Child of the King, an heir to the throne, the apple of the King’s Eye… that is not a job that should be sneezed at!

He is watching, and He is pleased! What an honor to have been chosen to raise His child!
